I love this! so good for the sport and the athletes! (hopefully)

USA Gymnastics seems to be heading in the right direction again with sponsors!

I am guessing the return of several high profile athletes was influential in renewed interest of sponsors.

Yes... and the Olympics in general. Nike is contracted all the way through 2028 though... so that's good.

What happened in the past that makes this a change? (Never really paid attention to sponsorships before). Was gymnastics just a hot potato because of scandals?

Yep… all their sponsors dropped them.

Do the Olympic sponsors actually help fund training costs, etc. for athletes? Is that where the bulk of their money goes?
